  • I don't usually look at the title and category for QOTD, but today it really

    gave away the answer!

    Thanks for the assistance Steve.

  • Ah, thought MDS was only introduced with SQL 2012!

Ah, thought MDS was only introduced with SQL 2012!

Nope! It existed since SQL 2008 (R2?). Everybody just ignored it 😀

Surprised this QotD didn't hit 100% correct answer, with the answer so carefully hidden in the title and category 😀

I have my beta exam of developing sql 2012 data warehouses this week, and MDS is on the skills list. So I'm being forced to look at it (my only weak point in the list).

  • I had never heard of MDM or MDS, but the title gave a useful hint on the answer. Also learned something new today.

Thank you, Steve, for the question.

Yeah, I feel a little daft as the answer was well signposted 😀

  • Good question. This is a useful feature of which I wasn’t aware.

  • Good question. Made extremely easy by its item name, as several people have already noted.
