  • Nice question. It was tempting to select FOR, AFTER, INSTEAD OF :-D.

  • Darn, I jumped wrong there, I guess it is because I just didn't think about it. Not really gone for the concept of DDL triggers much yet so just selected INSTEAD OF, FOR and AFTER.

Right there with you. Then I realized the third member (with AFTER and INSTEAD OF) of the group was CLR, and they are technically just types of DML triggers.

Also almost went for INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, until I realized these were just event types.

Of course, it helped that I was already on my second mug of green tea. 🙂

I should have mentioned the half dozen "fun" size Butterfinger candy bars I ate from a huge bag left on the break room table by a thoughtful (read evil) co-worker. After the first one, it's just a feeding frenzy! :hehe:

  • You got to love those questions that are simplistic enough to make you think twice about the answer. Nice Question.

  • I got this one wrong but that's because I considered a Logon trigger part of the DDL trigger family because it was added to SQL Server at the same time as DDL triggers. Not a bad question though.

  • Yeah... one point... now two with this post.

Yeah... one point... now two with this post.

    That's the spirit!

  • Nice question. I liked it. It made me take a quick second thought - but types practically gave it away.

  • Doh! Didn't think through it enough. Oh well. Good question.

  • Yes, a good one to highlight importance of a second thought.

    Thanks!
