My Navision 5.0 installed as follow
Front-End
1. Client Machine
Back-End
1. Operating System: Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition 32 bit
2. Database Server: SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition 32 bit
3. Database Name: ABC
4. Storage: SAN
Other
1. In same server (Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition 32 bit), also installed 5 Database as follow
- DEF
- UIO
- HUJ
- JKO
- WER
The problem as follow
1. Sometimes, client machine looks take time to load Navision Screen
2. Almost always, client machine looks take time to perform data posting
We assume, network is ok and stable
My question as follow
1. Navision 5.0 is a Microsoft Product, it's possible I do Database Optimization and Performance Tuning on my own? It's recommended or not?
2. Did anyone perform Database Optimization and Performance Tuning to this Navision 5.0 Database? Or Microsoft will release the patches to improve the performance?
